A man died after two unidentified assailants onboard a motorcycle peppered him with bullets in Barangay Veterans Village, Iloilo City on Saturday night, Oct. 9.
The victim was identified as Hamza Kayani, 31, a resident of Barangay Tanza Esperanza, City Proper.
Initial investigation showed that Kayani was standing outside his parked car when the riding-in-tandem suspects stabbed and shot him.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kayani’s two minor companions, who were inside the car when the incident happened, were unharmed.
Authorities recovered six empty shells from a still unknown caliber of firearm at the crime scene.
In 2018, Kayani was arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs and possession of explosives and loose guns.
Further investigation is ongoing to determine the motive of the killing and arrest the killers.IMT
