Majority of Ilonggos still unwilling to get vaccinated vs COVID-19

The number of Iloilo City residents who signified their intention to be inoculated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is still way below the city government’s target.

“Daw kulang pa guid ang aton registration. Daw ang total pa lang nga naregister subong is only 59,000,” Mayor Jerry Treñas said on Tuesday, April 6.

The city government, which has been conducting an aggresive vaccination campaign, targets to convince 320,000 people to have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

“So malayo pa kita,” said Treñas.

The mayor urged his constituents to register for the city government’s vaccination program.

“Gapangayo guid ko tani sa tanan naton nga mga pumuluyo, palihog lang, kadto kamo sa inyo nga barangay para makaparehistro kamo para sa bakuna,” he said.

“Kung magbuligay kita, mas madasig naton malampuwasan ang ini nga pandemya,” Treñas stressed.IMT
