The Iloilo Provincial Government lifted its liquor ban as the province moved to a lower COVID-19 alert level.
“The expiration of the effectivity of Executive Order No. 002, Series of 2022, as amended, the Liquor Ban Under section 1 thereof is no longer effective in the Province,” said Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. in an advisory dated March 1.
The advisory was issued to the director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), municipal/city police chiefs, municipal/city mayors, local task forces, and punong barangays, among others.
From Alert Level 3, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) downgraded the province’s status to Alert Level 2.
Based on the March 1 bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH-6), the province has 2,123 active cases of COVID-19.IMT
