The town of Lambunao has recorded one new case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Department of Health (DOH-6) confirmed on Friday, April 24.
The new case brings the total positive cases of the viral disease in the town to seven.
Based on its latest bulletin, the DOH-6 said the new COVID-19 patient is a 33-year-old female. She is asymptomatic or have no symptoms of the disease.
The woman, who is currently under strict home quarantine, had exposure to those who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the town, according to Dr. Renelyn Reyes of the DOH-6.
All the seven coronavirus-positive patients in Lambunao belong to one family.
Of the total number, one died, four recovered and two are still undergoing treatment, data from the Municipal Health Office showed.
Lambunao has the most number of COVID-19 cases in the whole province of Iloilo, followed by Miagao and Guimbal with three each and Barotac Nuevo, Tigbauan, and Pavia with two each.IMT
