It will be a thrilling football bonanza for the Ilonggos later this year as Kaya Futbol Club-Iloilo is set to return to the Iloilo Sports Complex this November for home games in the ongoing 2022-2023 Philippines Football League season.
After nearly two years, the Ilonggo booters will see action at the ISC once again. Recently, they signed a fresh three-year of partnership with the Province of Iloilo.
According to Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo native and team captain Jovin Bedic, the renewed partnership between Kaya-Iloilo and the Iloilo Province bodes well with the football club’s plan of developing more Ilonggo talents.
Bedic shared that they want to discover young talents in Iloilo, especially that they will be playing at home.
“Marami pa tayong magagawa na football programs dito sa Iloilo. Personally, very proud ako sa partnership kasi pride natin itong taga-Iloilo,” he added.
The Ilonggo captain ball also revealed that they will be starting a coaching course in Barotac Nuevo and he hopes to attract more footballers during the course.
Another Ilonggo pride, Jhan Jesus Melliza from Igbaras, Iloilo, was also happy with the renewed memorandum of agreement signed between the Iloilo Province and his football club. For Melliza, who started playing football through a self practice scheme, he is happy to train youngsters who can be future players in bigger tournaments.
Kaya Iloilo is still dominating the ongoing 2022-2023 PFL Season after winning all their four matches, totalling to 12 points.IMT Sports
