A 67-year old man committed suicide by hanging himself inside a quarantine facility in Barangay Cabano, San Lorenzo town, Guimaras province.
The senior citizen was brought to the facility after he tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a report by radio station Bombo Radyo-Iloilo, Staff Sergeant Edwin Alacar of the San Lorenzo Municipal Police Station said the victim was found lifeless on the sixth day of his isolation.
Alacar said the infected patient, based on their initial investigation, suffered from depression.
