The website of IMT NEWS became inaccessible on Saturday, April 16, due to a cyberattack.
According to the news outlet’s Technical Team, the website was targeted by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.
A DDoS attack is “perpetrated to disrupt a website or network’s usual online activities by flooding it with traffic requests.”
The country’s major news websites —ABS-CBN News, GMA News, CNN Philippines, Rappler — were also victimized by DDoS attacks.IMT
