One of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.’s sons is inclined to run for an elective government post in Iloilo in 2025.
This was revealed by Senator Imee Marcos, older sister of the President, during an interview on Net 25’s ‘Ano Sa Palagay N’yo’ program.
“Ang alam ko yung anak ni Bongbong, tatakbo sa Iloilo tapos may tatakbo yata sa Mindanao,” the presidential sister said when asked if her son, Borgy, has plans to enter politics.
She, however, did not identify who among her nephews have plans to run for local posts in the May 2025 midterm elections.
The President’s eldest son, Sandro, currently serves as congressman of Ilocos Norte’s First District while his youngest son, William Vincent or Vinny, works as a special assistant to his uncle, House Speaker Martin Romualdez. The middle child, Joseph Simon, is out of the limelight.
Meanwhile, First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos — who traces her roots to Iloilo — has been teaching law at Western Visayas State University (WVSU) in La Paz district for over an academic year already.IMT
