An Ilonggo cager is slowly making a name in the national arena after steering his team to back-to-back victories in the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball.
John Bryan Sajonia proved that Ilonggos are prolific hotshots even in Manila collegiate tournaments after showing impressive performances at the court.
Leading the assault for the Far Eastern University Tamaraws Sajonia erupted with 12 points to go with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal against National University Bulldogs, 47-44.
Contributing for the yellow-shirted, Ljay Gonzales had nine markers, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals for FEU.
Pat Tchuente was hailed as the Player of the Game as he finished with six points, and 18 rebounds for the Tamaraws, which has recorded its second victory after losing their first five games this season.

In the first game, Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles blasted the University of the East Red Warriors, 91-76, and tie the Bulldogs with 5-2 record. The Red Warriors dropped to 3-4.
With both teams converting for points, the Blue Eagles exploded with a 17-0 scoring run through perfect play of Angelo Kouame, pulling away from the Red Warriors, 63-44.
At 3.27 mark, Kai Ballungay wowed the crowd after an empathic dunk, giving the blue shirts an 83-61 advantage.
