Showing the entire repertoire, Ilonggo cager Thirdy Ravena made an emphatic debut in the 2020-21 B.League over the weekend.

The pride of Iloilo City carried his team San-En NeoPhoenix with 13 points, two rebounds and two assists as they won against Shimane Susanoo Magic, 83-82 on Saturday night.

Ravena was the first Filipino to play as an import in the league. He made a crippling run in the fourth canto, tallying eight points that gave his team a 77-69 advantage.

The former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles star displayed great athleticism in the first match but failed to replicate in the second game.

His squad suffered an 81-74 defeat at the hands of Magic on Sunday afternoon and was limited to just 12 points, eight rebounds and one assist.

For NeoPhoenix head coach Branislav Vicentic, he was impressed with Ravena’s composure in the first two games and hopes Ravena would adjust further as the games continue.

“He is one of our excellent players and you can see it with his talent. We talk a lot and I feel that he can help our game positively and he’ll be the right player for us heading into December,” shared Vicentic.

Meanwhile, the three-time UAAP Finals Most Valuable Player admitted he should work a lot to improve and adjust his play. He also thanked all the Filipinos for the support and shared he will do everything for his team.IMT
