Iloilo dancesports teams ruled the Ronnie Steve Vergara National Dance Competition on November 28-29.
Representing Matias Balbastro Dance Academy-Philippines, Joemel Jan Magallanes of Special Education-Integrated School for Exceptional Children (SPED-ISEC) put on a dazzling show after winning the gold medal in the Junior 2 Solo Cha-cha, Junior Solo 2 Jive and Youth Duo 3 Dance, before bagging the silver medal in the Youth Male 2 Duo.
Dana Angelica Galfo of SPED-ISEC also duplicated the winning form as she emerged champion in both the Junior 2 Cha-cha and Junior 2 Jive categories, before taking the silver in Junior C and bronze in Youth 2 Dance Duo.
Leanne Reigh Lanceta of Iloilo National High School (INHS) ruled the Youth Female 2 Dance Duo and Youth Female 3 Dance Duo, while teammate John Michael Tamudtamud won gold in Youth Male 3 Dance Duo and silver in Youth Male 2 Dance Duo.
Mary Isabelle Cartagena of SPED-ISEC bagged two championships in Youth Female 2 Dance Duo and Youth Female 3 Dance Duo, while Jay Alexis Gabrielle Sarate of Janiuay, Iloilo copped silver in Junior 2 Cha-cha and bronze in Junior 2 Solo Jive. Bridgette Anne Liboon of Central Philippine University (CPU) also had a bronze in Youth Female 2 Dance Duo.
Meanwhile, the Iloilo Dancesport Team also made waves in the same competition.
Kyle Eric Dela Cruz and Dandreb James Dabalus Cangayda ruled the Youth Male Duo 2 Dance, while Jared Gener and Nheki Charize got the silver in the female category. Marwin Symon Valenzuela and
Joerelle Galfo won bronze in the Junior Male Duo, while Precious Villarete won gold in jive and silver in chacha. Ashleen Tyresse Enorme Madrileño finished sixth place in jive.
Marwin Valenzuela got the silver in chacha and jive while Joerelle Galfo reached semis in two same categories. Rhianne Jophet Montano has a gold in chacha and silver in jive.IMT
