The province of Iloilo and Iloilo City will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until July 15, 2021.
The 15-day extension was announced by President Rodrigo Duterte during his pre-recorded public address on Monday night, June 28
Iloilo province has the highest active cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas with 2,685.
Iloilo City came in second with 2,319, followed by Negros Occidental, 1,923; Bacolod City, 1,859; Aklan, 1,404; Capiz, 708; Antique, 536, and Guimaras, 179.
All in all, the region has 11,613 active cases.
The figures are based on the latest case bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH-6).
Meanwhile, the community quarantine classification of Negros Occidental, Bacolod City, Guimaras, Capiz, and Antique was upgraded to general community quarantine (GCQ) from modified GCQ.IMT
