Ilonggo basketball aficionados will witness their home team battling in the hardcourt as they play against Pasay Voyagers at the University of San Agustin (USA) covered gym on Sept. 19. 

Iloilo United-Royals will have its first home game in the 2019-2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup. According to team owner Julio Jalandoni Javelosa, they are excited to play in front of their Ilonggo fans, especially that they carrying the Ilonggo squad. 

Javelosa also shared that Ilonggo players are also looking forward to play in Iloilo as they have the opportunity to showcase their skills. 

To recall, the squad have nine Iloilo players – Aaron Jeruta, Jay Javelosa, Paul Reguera, Rhagnee Sinco, Gerry Antonio Abadiano, Andre Pantin, Jessiery Pedrosa, Jason Li, John Mahari, and Jaypee Belencion.

Newly-elected Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas and MPBL founder Sen. Manny Pacquiao are expected to grace the first home game. To those fans who want to avail the tickets, Javelosa said they are still finalizing it. Before the Iloilo-Pasay clash, the first game will feature Valenzuela Classic taking on Mindoro Tamaraws.IMT
