The province and city of Iloilo will remain under the lowest of the country’s five-tier COVID-19 alert level system until August 15.

The extension of Alert Level 1 in Iloilo was announced by the Department of Health (DOH-6) on Saturday, July 30.

The province currently has 971 active cases of COVID-19, the highest in the whole Western Visayas.

The city, meanwhile, has 636 active infections.

Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Bacolod City and Barbaza town in Antique will also be under Alert Level 1 until mid-August.

Under Alert Level 1, all restrictions, including on travel, venue or transportation capacity, are removed. All businesses are also allowed to operate.

Negros Occidental and the rest of Antique will be under Alert Level 2.IMT
