The province and city of Iloilo will remain under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), the least restrictive quarantine classification.

The recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force to keep the MGCQ status of Iloilo and the rest of Western Visayas until March 31 was approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Based on the case bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6) on Sunday, Feb. 28, Iloilo province registered the highest number of active cases of COVID-19 in the whole region with 472.

Iloilo City came in second with 243 active cases, followed by Aklan (200), Negros Occidental (135), Bacolod City (66), Guimaras (41), Capiz (37), and Antique (8).

All in all, Western Visayas logged 1,202 active cases or those who are still undergoing quarantine or treatment.IMT
