Twelve more residents of the province and city of Iloilo have been infected with the novel coronavirus through local transmission.
Based on the July 27 bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH-6), eight of the new indigenous or local cases are from Iloilo City while four are from Iloilo province.
Those cases from the the city involved the following:
▪17-year-old male from Lapuz (facility quarantined)
▪64-year-old female from Lapuz (facility quarantined)
▪10-year-old male from Lapuz (facility quarantined)
▪32-year-old male from Lapuz (facility quarantined)
▪48-year-old female from Lapuz (facility quarantined)
▪24-year-old male from La Paz (admitted)
▪66-year-old male from Mandurriao (admitted)
▪27-year-old female from Mandurriao (facility quarantined)
Meanwhile, the four additional COVID-19 patients from the province are:
▪45-year-old female from Janiuay (facility quarantined)
▪75-year-old female from Oton (facility quarantined)
▪48-year-old female from Barotac Viejo (facility quarantined)
▪65-year-ole male from Pototan (home quarantined)
Currently, the province has a total of 82 local cases (49 recoveries, 5 deaths, 28 active cases) while the city has 67 local cases (38 recoveries, 4 deaths, 25 active cases).
Iloilo also recorded 304 cases of COVID-19 involving returning overseas Filipino worker (OFWs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs).
Of the figure, 231 have recovered, one has died, and 92 are active cases.IMT
