Iloilo province logs 14 new COVID-19 cases, highest in WV

The province of Iloilo logged the most number of new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Based on data from the Department of Health (DOH-6), Iloilo registered 14 additional infections, bringing the province’s total caseload to 3,966.

Of the total infection count, 3,439 have recovered and 109 have died.

The number of active cases or patients who are still infected with the coronavirus in the province currently stands at 417.

Iloilo province was followed by Capiz and Negros Occidental with 10 new cases each; Aklan and Iloilo City, 7 each; Bacolod City, 6; and Antique 1.

All in all, the region registered 55 new cases of COVID-19, jacking up the region’s total case count to 23, 943, including 22,114 recoveries and 719 deaths.IMT
