Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has decried the brutal killing of a mother and her son in Tarlac province.

Sonya Gregorio, 52, and her son Frank Anthony, 25, were shot to death by Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca, 46, in Barangay Cabayaoasan, Paniqui town on Sunday, Dec. 20.

IPPO Director Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero said what Nuezca did was wrong and should not be tolerated.

Police officers in Iloilo, according to Gorero, are not like Nuezca who is now facing double murder charges.

“We are not like him because we always respect the constitutional rights [of every citizen] and [we] value human live. No one is above the law,” he stressed.

Gorero said the shooting incident should serve as a lesson for all PNP personnel.

“Dapat indi gid magpadala sa init sang ulo, paminsaran sang isa ka milyon ka beses ang bagay nga himuon.”IMT
