Seven indigenous or local cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been added to Iloilo’s total infection count.

Of the additional coronavirus-positive patients, four are residents of Iloilo province while three are residents of Iloilo City.

The cases in Iloilo province involved a 49-year-old female from New Lucena, an eight-year-old female from Sta. Barbara, a 49-year-old female from Sta. Barbara, and a 40-year-old male from Oton.

According to the Department of Health (DOH-), those from Sta. Barbara are under home quarantined and the remaining two are staying in different quarantine facilities

On the other hand, the three cases in Iloilo City involved a 26-year-old male from City Proper, a 70-year-old male from Jaro, and a 23-year-old male from Lapuz.

Only the patient from Jaro is confined at a hospital. 

Iloilo also logged 10 new cases that involved locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

The infected LSIs are residents of Igbaras (1), Passi City (2), Bingawan (2), Balasan (2), Miagao (1), Dumangas (1), and Anilao (1).

As of July 18, the province 66 confirmed cases of COVID-19 while the city registered 49 infections.

Meanwhile, the 18 COVID-19 patients from the province have been declared recovered.

The new recoveries are from Zarraga (5), Pavia (8), Pototan (1), Lemery (2), Oton (1), and Igbaras (1).IMT
