Seven more cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are added to the count of infections in the province and city of Iloilo.

Of the new infected patients, two are from the city while five are from the province.

The cases in the city involved a 37-year-old female from Lapuz district and a 53-year-old male from La Paz district.

The female resident is under facility quarantine while the male resident is admitted at a hospital in the city.

The two are considered by the Department of Health (DOH-6) as local cases.

Meanwhile, the new coronavirus-positive patients in the province are the following:

▪72-year-old male from Igbaras
▪26-year-old male from Miagao (overseas Filipino worker)
▪31-year-old male from Lambunao (locally stranded individual)
▪30-year-old female from Tigbauan (OFW)
▪28-year-old female from Miagao (LSI)

The patient from Igbaras is admitted at a hospital. He is a local case.

The province and city, which are currently under the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), recorded a total of 71 “indigenous” or local cases of COVID-19 as of July 3.

Iloilo also logged 87 cases involving repatriated OFWs and LSIs.
