Metro Pacific Water (MPW) president and chief executive officer (CEO) Rogelio Singson was all praises for the continued development of Iloilo City, the regional center of Western Visayas.
“All other cities are looking up [to] Iloilo. Kita mo naman ang development diyan. Kaliwa’t kanan may mga call centers kayo, bago pa mga hotel ninyo, meron pang international airport,” Singson said in a media interview.
The former secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) commended the city government for its relentless effort in creating a business-friendly environment in the metropolis.
He believes that a strong public-private partnership has contributed a lot for the city’s development.
Singson was in Iloilo last week for the inauguration of the recently completed pipelaying expansion, bridge crossing construction, and district metering area establishment projects.
The projects, amounting to P120 million, aim to improve Metro Pacific Iloilo Water’s (MPIW) services to eight barangays in Jaro and Mandurriao districts.
