The average number of individuals getting infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Iloilo City declined by 68 percent.

From October 1 to 19, the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) recorded an average of 48 COVID-19 cases a day.

The figure was higher compared 153 cases in the same period a month ago.

The city, which is currently under general community quarantine (GCQ), has 21,489 confirmed cases of COVID-19, latest data from the Department of Health (DOH-6) showed.

Of the number, 20,184 have recovered, 561 have died, and 731 are considered active.IMT
