The Iloilo City Government will run after businesses operating in the metropolis without business permits.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said closure orders will be immediately served to erring business operators.

“Wala na ni warning. Kon mahibaluan nga wala ka permit, close dayon,” he stressed.

Starting this month, the city government will conduct intensive operations against businesses operating without permits.

Last month, Treñas issued an executive order directing the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Bureau of Fire Protection (CBFP), City Tourism and Development Office (CTDO), and the City Treasure’s Office (CTO) to conduct a joint inspection of all business establishments operating in the city.

The renewal of business permits in the city ended last Jan. 20.IMT
