Iloilo City will remain under the least restrictive Alert Level 1 until April 15, acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar announced on Thursday, March 31.
The retention of the city’s COVID-19 alert level status was approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
Other areas under Alert Level 1 are Aklan, Guimaras, Capiz and Bacolod City.
The IATF also placed San Jose and Sebaste in Antique; Anilao, Balasan, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, Barotac Viejo, Bingawan, Concepcion, Dueñas, Guimbal, Janiuay, Lemery, Mina, Pototan, San Dioniso and Santa Barbara in Iloilo province; and E. B. Magalona, La Carlota City, Pulupandan, Sagay City and San Enrique in Negros Occidental under Alert Level 1.
The rest of Antique, Iloilo province and Negros Occidental will remain under Alert Level 2.
As of March 31, the region has 2,633 active cases of COVID-19, data from the Department of Health (DOH-6) showed.
Of the figure 1,359 are from Iloilo province, 518 from Iloilo City, 401 from Negros Occidental, 148 from Aklan, 89 from Capiz, 88 from Bacolod City, 27 from Antique, and 3 from Guimaras.IMT
