More visitors are expected to arrive in Iloilo City in the coming months as the COVID-19 situation in the metropolis continues to improve.
Junel Ann Divinagracia, head of the Iloilo City Tourism and Development Office (CTDO), said several conventions are scheduled in the city this year.
Recently, the city hosted the Evangelical Convention, Lions Club National Convention, and the Apex National Convention 2022.
The city reopened its tourist sites, resumed leisure activities, and allowed the entry of vaccinated travelers as part of its efforts to revive the local economy.
Divinagracia said they are happy that hotels and other accommodation establishments in the city are almost fully occupied.
She assured that health and safety protocols are in place to ensure that tourists are protected against COVID-19.
Iloilo City is known for its world-class Dinagyang Festival, heritage houses and sumptuous food.IMT
