Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas urged residents to “eat alone” to prevent the further transmission of the coronavirus.
“While cases continue to go up, I request everyone even in a family setting to eat alone. Do not eat with anyone even if he/she is a member of your family,” said Treñas.
“Cases are at a all-time high, and we need to take care of everyone. Halong gid anay. Eat alone, please,” he further said.
The city is currently under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
As of June 3, the city registered 1,755 active cases, data from the Department of Health (DOH-6) showed.IMT
