Iloilo City records highest 1-day spike in COVID-19 recoveries at 127

Iloilo City has recorded its highest number of patients who recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in a single day.

Based on the Aug. 27 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6), the city accounted for 127 of the 169 new recoveries in Western Visayas.

The newly reported recoveries brought the total number of COVID-19 survivors in the city to 271.

The city also logged 21 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one new death.

All in all, the number of COVID-19 cases in the city now stands at 793, including 15 deaths.IMT
