The Iloilo City Government is looking for 15 doctors to augment services given to the public being catered in health centers in the metropolis.

Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said interested parties may submit applications to City Health Office at second floor of City Hall.

“We will hire additional doctors starting January next year to bring the services to the barangays. The ideal should be 1:1 ratio of doctor to health center. I believe that there should be a doctor present all the time to accommodate the patients,” he stressed.

Treñas hopes the initiative will help address the health needs of residents as one of his priority agenda.

City Hall is also scouting for a two-hectare property for the site of proposed City Hospital.

The Department of Health regional office will finance the establishment of the facility while the city government will shoulder the personnel requirement of the hospital.Iloilo City PIO
