Cash donations, which are intended to support Iloilo City’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response, have already reached more than P12 million.
From March 23 to May 18, 2020, the city government received a total of P12, 435, 386.38 worth of cash from various donors.
The donations were turned over to the Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc (IFFI) and deposited to the latter’s bank accounts (BDO, Queenbank).
The foundation reported a total spending of P7, 284, 421.17, bulk of which went to food, medicines, and COVID-19 medical supplies.
IFFI records show that there is still a remaining available balance of P5, 150, 964.15.
