The Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI) is eyeing to bring back the face-to-face celebration of the Dinagyang Festival next year.
City Tourism and Development Office head Junel Ann. P. Divinagracia said IFFI, Dinagyang’s main organizer, held a meeting on Tuesday, July 6, to discuss the 2023 edition of the festival.
“Nagmeet na sila. Hopefully, mas mag-ayo pa COVID-19 situation. They are planning nga magface-to-face,” she said in an interview on IMT Conversations.
“It’s going to be different, bigger and bongga,” she added.
For the past two years, the world-renowned festival was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Iloilo City’s Dinagyang is held every fourth Sunday of January in honor of the Sto. Niño.IMT
