Being included in the global poll would mean promotions in terms of tourism and investments because it could be used as a baseline data in selling the potentials of the locality.

Treñas directed the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) to sustain the favorable peace and order situation.

He turned over recently two motorcycles to ICPO and additional 28 units will follow soon.

Another 18 motorcycles will be given to traffic aides under the Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO).

The vehicles will improve police mobility and visibility in responding to urgent situations, maintaining peace and order and securing the public, making the metropolis safe and livable to locals and visitors alike.

Treñas also gave a Certificate of Recognition to ICPO director P/Col. Martin E. Defensor Jr. for being awarded Outstanding City Police Office of the Year in the field of Police Community Relations (PCR) during the culmination of the 24th PCR Month in Camp Crame, Quezon City July 29.

Such commendable feat is a manifestation of ICPO’s dedication to its efforts in fostering police-community relations, empowering the community and strengthening partnership and fellowship with various stakeholders through its various community-oriented activities and programs.
