The tripartite agreement entered into by the Iloilo City Government for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines from British drugmaker AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals cannot be rescinded anymore.
This was according to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) as stated in its reply letter to Mayor Jerry Treñas.
The letter was already forwarded to the City Legal Office for further study.
“Indi kuno pwede ma-rescind but ang legal ta matan-aw pa kon ano maobra ta,” Treñas said.
The mayor wrote a letter to AstraZeneca, IATF, and the Department of Health (DOH) informing them about city government’s intention to rescind the contract.
“May sulat na kita nga i-rescind naton kay ti kadamo naman sang bakuna and late man ila delivery,” Treñas said.IMT
