The Roxas City Covernment will focus on finding solutions to address the rising number of Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV-AIDS).

City Health Officer Lory Cahilog, during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod on Oct. 29, said there are 241 cases of HIV-AIDS in the province of Capiz. Ninety-two of the total number are from Roxas City.

Of the 241 cases, 222 are males while 19 are females. Most of them, according to Cahilog, are young professionals.

The city government will hold a comprehensive campaign against the spread of HIV-AIDS.

Cahilog said their office is open to those who want to seek treatment.IMT
