Actor Marco Gumabao and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves will host this year’s Miss Iloilo pageant.
The Coronation Night will be held at the Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao district on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 6 p.m.
Gumabao is the son of PBA player-turned-politician Dennis Roldan. Her sister, Michelle, placed second runner-up to Iloilo City’s Rabiya Mateo, who won the Miss Universe Philippines crown in 2020.
Cordoves, on the other hand, worked as a speech writer for former Department of Finance (DOF) secretary Cesar Purisima before joining the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
The Miss Iloilo pageant is part of this year’s celebration of the world-renowned Dinagyang Festival.
Eighteen candidates will compete for the Miss Iloilo 2023 crown. The titles of Miss Iloilo Universe, Miss Iloilo Binibini, and Miss Iloilo World will be announced on January 19 at SM City Iloilo.
Tickets are free and will be released on a first come, first served basis on January 17 through the pageant’s partner radio stations.
