The island province of Guimaras recorded 26 cases of suicide from January to September this year.
This was disclosed by Police Colonel Pablito Asmod Jr., Guimaras Police Provincial Office director, on Sunday, Oct. 11.
The town of Buenavista logged the most number of cases with 9, followed by Jordan, 6; Sibunag, 5; and San Lorenzo and Nueva Valencia, 3 each.
According to Pablito, majority of the victims killed themselves by hanging.IMT
