The island province of Guimaras has recorded three more local cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). 

The new cases, based on the August 8 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6), involved the following:

▪33-year-old female from Sibunag
▪35-year-old female from Sibunag
▪27-year-old male from Nueva Valencia

The three are asymptomatic or have not manifested any symptom of the viral illness and are currently on facility quarantine.

The new cases increased the total number of infections in Guimaras to four.

The province’s first local case was reported by the health department last July 28.

Guimaras also registered 40 cases involving returning overseas workers (ROFs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 31 of which have already recovered.IMT
