First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos is joining the faculty of the College of Law of West Visayas State University (WVSU) in Iloilo City.
In a Facebook post, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman Prospero De Vera III thanked Marcos for “deciding to teach at WVSU.”
WVSU is the first and so far the only state university in Western Visayas that offers legal education.
Marcos will be a part-time professor and will teach Criminal Law 1 online, WVSU president Dr. Joselito Villaruz said.
The First Lady, according to Villaruz, chose to teach at WVSU because her father is a native of Jaro district.
Marcos earned her law degree at the Ateneo de Manila University.
She previously taught law at Mariano Marcos State University, St. Louis University, Northwestern University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Far Eastern University.IMT
