Seven houses were totally burned when a fire hit Zone 1, Barangay Compania, Molo district, Iloilo City on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 20.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire, which lasted for about an hour, broke out at around 1:30 p.m.
The affected houses were owned by Mary Grace Maulas, Mitchel Mondejar, Bernie Sevilla, Romeo Subade, Rene Malagad , Vincent Malagad and Jesus Pinggoy.
No one was killed or hurt during the incident, according to a report by radio station DYSI Super Radyo-Iloilo.
In an interview with Ricky Malagad, one of the residents, he said they saw sparks from electric wires inside the house of Subade before the fire.
The BFP is still conducting further investigation to establish the cause of the blaze.IMT
