The Department of Tourism (DOT-6) will be holding “Kain Na!”, a culinary and travel festival, in Iloilo City.
The event, slated on Dec. 6-8, 2019 at The Shops at Atria, Donato Pison Ave. in Mandurriao district, is in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Ayala Malls.
Local chefs, dishes, and products as well as farm tourism sites in Iloilo City, Iloilo province, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, and Guimaras will be highlighted during the three-day festival.
Iloilo Day is set on Dec. 6, Capiz and Antique Day on Dec. 7, and Guimaras and Aklan Day on Dec. 8.
The DOT-6 said “KAINA NA!” is aimed at “creating awareness and interest about authentic Filipino cuisine and tourism destinations.”
It is part of tourism department’s efforts to promote Philippines as a center of food and gastronomy.IMT
