Former Iloilo City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and his wife Marivic did not mince their words as they slammed President Rodrigo Duterte following the latter’s latest tirades against Ilonggo Senator Franklin Drilon.
Duturte in his pre-recorded briefing that aired on Saturday morning, Sept. 11, asked Drilon to explain his “ties” with convicted plunderer Janet Lim-Napoles, retired police general Marcelo Garbo Jr., and the ex-mayor.
Garbo and Jed were among those included in the so-called list of President Duterte of alleged drug personalities.
Jed, who left the county in 2017 for security reasons, immediately reacted to the President’s statement.
In a Facebook post, Jed said: “Hoy Digong, don’t divert the issue. Pila gani overprice mo sa face shield? Pila parte mo? Gina-usikan mo lang intel fund worth billion. Diin mo gintago sa China? Face shiled pa more!!!”
He also mocked Duterte for asking Drilon to identify the owner of the biggest mall in Iloilo City and who “brokered” the sale of the old airport in Mandurriao district to Megaworld.
“Ambot kon ano ang pinakadaku nga mall sa Iloilo, SM? Siguro ang M sang SM Mabilog hahaha. Lain gid buot sang mall sa Oton kay gamay lang sila? Nagreport na sa imo? No competition. Fentanyl pa more,” he said.
“Preparar ka na sa ICC (International Criminal Court) kay sa framed up charges mo, makuha mo gid parti mo!”
Duterte lashed out at Drilon as the Senate continues to investigate the procurement of alleged overpriced medical supplies from a favored supplier that purportedly has links to the President.
Marivic also lambasted Duterte, saying that the President’s “mental illness” is already incurable.
“Since you brought up Jed’s name, what about being honest for one single moment in your life and tell the people that you LIED about him,” she said in a separate Facebook post.
“Have you read yet the PNP, DILG, PDEA, NBI reports exonerating and clearing him? Those reports reached your desk in early 2017, and again in 2018. Is that how poor your reading comprehension is? You asked the NBI to perform a lifestyle check, right? You even deployed them to our house? Were you ever ashamed of yourself that you did not find the courage to tell the people the truth? That everything you accused Jed of is just a product of your evil, malevolent, sick mind? Fentanyl not working on you? Triple dose might help. Better yet, an overdose will solve the country’s ills,” she further said.
