Aside from the tribes competition and other streetdancing activities, Ilonggo visitors and other foreign tourists enjoyed the Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Dinagyang AutoMotoshow on Jan 20 to 21, 2023.
The weekend event featured classic, modern, and lighted cars and motorcycles in one of the biggest and loudest Auto Moto show in the region.
More than 180 cars and 88 motorcycle collections were displayed and stunned the visitors with its extravagant and spectacular designs and setups.
The Iloilo City Center Complex, Gaisano Capital in Madurriao district served as the venue of the 10th edition which was participated in by car and motorcycle enthusiasts coming from Iloilo, Cebu, Negros, and other parts of Western Visayas.
According to organizer JB Espino, the event was a show-stopper especially that it was supported by various car aficionados and backed by solid sponsors who made the activities successful.
A motorcade, tribes presentation, dance contests, event models, fun games, rap battles, and car and motor show also added to the entertainment that the visitors and car enthusiasts themselves experienced during the two-day event.
As a major sponsor of the show, Verlin Mata, managing director of Solid Motor Distributors Inc., said they supported the event because they want to show to the Ilonggos and other visitors that they are not just servicing vehicles and transporting it but also, allowing the company to explore more opportunities and allow their clients to realize that they are the best in the field.
“The show was considered the most entertaining and biggest event we supported. We promise to support more events, the same way that we are committed to give a convenient and efficient vehicle services to our customers,” Mata added.
The event was also backed up by Neutral Grounds event in partnership with NikoThai Concept, Iloilo City Government and the Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI).
Honda Philippines, Kawasaki PH, Yamaya, Suzuki and other businesses like the T-Tech, Strong Hold, and DC Autoworks also supported the event.
Romeo Jucaban, one of the participants, said the eagerness to join auto moto shows just started as a hobby and later on progressed to be his passion.
“It’s a choice of hobby that I took because I love na magkulikot ng mga details sa sasakyan. I love to fix things, until such time I was offered by a friend to set up an off-road car pick-up and transitioned into joining these shows. I hope this year, despite nga damo aton kontra, kita man gihapon ang magdaug,” shared Jucaban who always top the competition.IMT Sports
