The Field Implementation Cluster Team of the Department of Health (DOH) has yet to release the result of its fact-finding investigation into delayed salaries and benefits of hospital workers in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
In response to Iloilo Second District Representative Mike Gorriceta’s letter, Adriano Suba-an, director of DOH in Western Visayas, said they are still waiting for the results of the investigation.
Gorriceta wrote the letter to Suba-an following complaints from medical workers and other personnel of the Western Visayas Sanitarium and General Hospital.
In a radio interview, the lawmaker said the delays in the payment of the workers’ salaries were allegedly due to technical and internal problems in the hospital.
Gorriceta said the problems, which also affected the delivery of services to patients, must be resolved immediately.IMT
