Just less than two weeks before the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs), Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. still has no running mate for the 2022 elections.
Defensor will seek a second term as governor of the province in next year’s polls.
The sitting governor disclosed that there are some personalites who expressed their intention to be his running mate, but he has not made a decision yet.
According to Defensor, he is focused on the provincial government’s COVID-19 pandemic response and not on the upcoming elections.
Defensor is a member of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).IMT
