COVID-19 cases in Iloilo City down by 84 pct

The number of daily coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Iloilo City went down by 84 percent over the last few weeks.

From November 1 to 18, the city government’s COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center recorded 139 new cases of the viral disease or an average of 8 new infections daily.

The figures were lower compared to 890 COVID-19 cases or an average of 49 cases daily in the same period last month.

Also, the latest numbers were the lowest since January this year.

Based on the November 21 bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH-6), the city has 171 active COVID-19 cases, the second lowest in the whole Western Visayas region.
