The construction of the P560-million Aganan Flyover in the town of Pavia, Iloilo will remain suspended.

The project has been put on hold after the “sinking” Ungka Flyover was closed to traffic in Sept. last year for repairs.

Pavia Sangguniang Bayan Member Pyt Trimañez said the two flyovers have similiar structural design, which is currently being “reevaluated.”

The four-lane flyover in Barangay Aganan has a total length of 436.90 meters, including the protection approaches and right of way.

The construction of the national government-funded flyover started in July 2020. It was supposed to be completed by the third quarter of 2022.

Both the flyovers in Ungka and Aganan are contracted by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH-6) to International Builders Corporation (IBC), an Iloilo-based construction firm.IMT
