The Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) has started putting in place a contingency plan for earthquake.
City Disaster Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) head Donna Magno presented precautionary measures during CDRRMC meeting at City Hall Dec. 3.
“Updating of the plan is an ongoing process with collaboration with the private sector because their participation is essential to the plan,” she said.
The use of Exposure Data Module is necessary to establish records particularly on building-type through an issuance of Executive Order (EO) to address lack of available data on stability of structures.
CDRRMC also proposed the inclusion of Logistics Cluster, creation of Clearing Operations and Protection Clusters, and renaming of the latter to Law and Order Cluster.
There should be activation of an Incident Management Team supported by an EO, Emergency Operation Center (EOC), and Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Team.
CDRRMO will assist city building officials.
The City Engineer’s Office (CEO) will design mobile kitchen and portalets.
CEO will also provide floor plan of City Hall.
Evacuation plan needs to install per floor a Public Address (PA) system, fire extinguisher, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.Iloilo City PIO
