The Local Economic Enterprise Office (LEEO) of the Iloilo City Government collected P74 million from its income-generating facilities in 2019.
The figure was higher by P3 million compared to 2018’s revenue collection of P71 million.
The LEEO’s December collection, which totaled P7.3 million, was the highest.
Mayor Jerry Treñas attributed the higher collection to “market supervisors’ intensified efforts in collecting necessary fees in city public markets, slaughterhouse and bus terminal.”
The LEEO supervises the Iloilo Central Market, Iloilo Terminal Market, Jaro Big Market, Jaro Small Market, La Paz market, Mandurriao market, and Arevalo market.
It also oversees the operations of the city’s slaughterhouse in Jaro district and Molo Public Transport Terminal.IMT
