Carme Crita opened its doors to Ilonggos who want to experience unique and quality hair and nail services.
Located at Kawayanan Street in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district, the salon gives its customers the best value for their money.
The owner, Julie Pearl Robejes, said the name Carme Crita was derived from the two great women in her life — her mother Carmencita and grandmother Democrita.
The soft opening of the salon on Wednesday, June 15, was personally graced by GMA Kapuso and ‘Primadonna’ star Althea Ablan who shared some tips on how to look and feel better.
Raymond Borre, the salon’s pride, did the hair and makeup of Ablan and Precious of Chubsline for her beautiful eyelashes.
Lyra Sampollo, Carme Crita‘s star nail technician, serviced the teen star’s nail extension and Prille Tolosa did her pedicure.
Jomar Hanaban took charge Ablan’s hair extension and Khim Millan for her photos during the soft opening.
“I was motivated to start this business and it’s always my passion. Ako lang naka-isip magbusiness sini para makasave ko nga indi nako magkadto pa sa iban and maka-income pako dugang,” shared Robejes when asked why she ventured into this business.
For now, hair extensions and treatments, and nail extensions, among others, are being offered to customers. Petals foot spa and cucumber foot spa are also available at the salon.
“Everyone nga gusto magglam up, magpanami ila hair and nails are welcome gid diri. We are strengthening our social media presence to let our clients and the public know that we are a good salon. And they can also post their feedback after they tried our services,” said Robejes.
When asked of their unique selling point (USP), Robejes said they have different methods of hair extensions using human hair.
When it comes to nails, they have almost all kinds of nail art styles. And they have upcoming massage and pedicure chairs that will surely pamper their customers.
“My goal is for this business to grow more and cater to all needed services of Ilonggos. We want this salon to serve as trendsetters and be considered as one of the best salons in Iloilo,” said Robejes.
“Medyo not planned ini ang salon and na gulpi lang ko kaisip nga mag patindog ni. So medyo unprepared but naka survive man ah. We assure nga ok gid ang quality sang mga products nga ihatag sa ila and good service nga maprovide,” she further said.
