Residents of Iloilo City are now allowed to buy alcoholic drinks as much as they can.
In an amended version of Executive Order No. 75, Mayor Jerry Treñas removed the limits on the volume of liquor products that a person can buy in the city, which is currently under GCQ (general community quarantine).
The mayor lifted the liquor ban on May 16 when the city shifted to GCQ from ECQ (enhanced community quarantine).
He, however, set limits to avoid drunkin incidents.
Treñas reminded te public that drinking in public places remains prohibited. “Kon mag-inom kita dapat sa sulod lang sang aton balay kag indi na magginamo.”
The mayor said he would not hesitate to impose again the ban on sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks if there are reported violations.IMT
