A four-year-old boy died after he was hit by a Hilux pickup driven by a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of San Dionisio, Iloilo.
The incident took place at around 7:50 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, in Barangay Anoring, Sara town.
According to Police Corporal Rio J. Bañares of the Sara Municipal Police Station, SB Member Roger Neil Lopez was on his way to Iloilo City when he hit the child.
The victim, based on the police’s investigation, suddenly crossed the road. He was brought to the Sara District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
In a report by radio station Bombo Radyo-Iloilo, the child’s family decided not to file criminal complaints against Lopez who committed to shoulder the burial expenses.IMT
